# eResonate Media Lab — Brand direction

Full name: eResonate Media Lab and Research Center
Everyday name: eResonate Media Lab
Core line: Research in service of humanity.

## Positioning

eResonate Media Lab and Research Center is the research and development organization behind eResonate. Founded in 2019, the lab brings together perspectives across technology, media, economics, the social sciences, and the arts. Its purpose centers humanity, mental health, and the life-affirming effects of connection. Years of research and testing culminated in the eResonate platform.

## Public narrative

1. Humanity and connection are the starting point.
2. The lab has conducted interdisciplinary research since its formation in 2019.
3. Long-term research, testing, and novel ideas informed the premise and business plan for eResonate.
4. eResonate is the culmination of that work; the lab is the organization behind it.
5. People bring expertise from a range of industries. Existing leadership and advisory roles carry over from the current eResonate website.

The public website is informational for investors and the general public. Its purpose is to introduce the lab, its broad areas of focus, its people, and its relationship to the platform.

## Research focus

The lab’s public areas of focus include psychology, behavioral science, learning science, mental health, community, and society; entertainment, production, media, livestream broadcasting, the music industry, and live music venues; engineering, data science, artificial intelligence, and virtual environments; social networking, social media, and internet platforms; and economics and advertising science.

## Confidentiality

The research belongs to the lab’s stakeholders and is confidential. Do not publish underlying studies, data, methods, findings, novel ideas, the proprietary premise, or the business plan. Do not present a research archive, downloadable studies, or an implied public access path to confidential materials.

The broad disciplines supplied for the public introduction are areas of focus, not a disclosure of studies or findings. Mental health is a research motivation; do not describe the platform as a treatment or claim clinical outcomes. Do not imply peer review, accreditation, or named institutional partnerships without documentation and authorization.

## Voice

Thoughtful, clear, human, and precise. Pair institutional confidence with creative curiosity. Use familiar language and concrete descriptions. Describe purpose and history without promising unproven outcomes.

Preferred language:

- Research in service of humanity.
- Exploring the life-affirming power of connection.
- The research organization behind eResonate.
- Many disciplines. One human purpose.
- Years of inquiry. One shared experience.

Use “since 2019” rather than a rolling claim about the number of years. Reserve eResonate for the platform when distinguishing it from the lab. Preserve the lowercase e and capital R in eResonate.

## Visual identity

The shared field symbol combines two open, overlapping fields around a common center. It suggests connection, exchange, and an abstract lowercase e. The resonance field illustration extends this concept through fine lines. It is conceptual brand artwork, not research data.

Palette:

| Name | Hex | Use |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Deep ink | #193B32 | Primary text, dark backgrounds, primary mark |
| Warm ivory | #F5F3EB | Main background, reversed text |

Typography: DM Sans for the wordmark, navigation, and body. Instrument Serif for expressive words in editorial headings. Fonts are self-hosted in this prototype. Logo lettering is outlined in the SVG files and needs no installed font.

Logo use:

- Use the short lockup for the primary website identity.
- Use the full-name lockup where institutional context is needed.
- Keep clear space at least equal to half the symbol’s height around the lockup.
- Recommended minimum widths: 180 px for the short lockup; 260 px for the full-name lockup; 24 px for the symbol.
- Use the deep ink version on light backgrounds. Use the ivory and signal green version on deep ink.
- Do not stretch, rotate, add effects, rearrange, or recolor the mark outside the supplied palette.
- SVG files have transparent backgrounds and can scale without loss of quality.

## Website structure

The Lab → Platform → Business Resources → News → Investors. The lab homepage retains purpose, areas of focus, people, and the research-to-platform story.

The platform’s existing public commercial resources, calculator, explainers, product tour, public investor information, and six news announcements are retained under the lab identity. Existing Netlify inquiry form names and fields are preserved. Inquiries are open to everyone. The website has no data room, access-code gate, investor function, or confidential document bundle. No confidential research has been added to public pages. The brand reference page contains the identity assets and this guide.
