Our Mission

Bring people together for real, and for good.

eResonate exists to build what the internet has never kept: a real place for people to be together, and the first one that lasts. Everyone inside came in through someone already there, and what brings them together is something they actually share.

People will come for the music. They will stay for each other.

Why we exist

The places that felt real didn’t last.

Pluck a string on one guitar, and on a guitar beside it the string tuned to the same note begins to hum. Nobody touched it. That is resonance, and it is what happens between people who are in tune: one moves, and the other feels it.

The internet promised that feeling at the scale of the world and never kept it. The places that felt real didn’t last, and the ones that lasted stopped feeling real: they grew by letting in strangers, outrage and, now, machines. Billions of people are connected, and many have never felt more alone.

Two things went wrong every time. Anyone could get in, so trust wore away. And nothing held people together but a feed, which is easy to leave for the next one.

eResonate is built on two things that are still hard to fake: a person someone you trust will vouch for, and a moment that happens once, live. Every member came in through someone already inside, and no algorithm decides what you see. The reason to show up is something you share with real people as it happens: a show, a call, a game, a night out.

Music is where it starts, because a live show is the oldest way strangers become friends: same room, same song, same moment. The people you meet there are why you stay, along with the groups, scenes and plans that grow from it, about music and everything else.

We are building it to last for generations. We will know it works when people who met here are still friends decades from now, and still meeting here.

Our goals

Six goals turn the mission into work.

Each one is finished only when it is true everywhere.

  1. 01

    Every person, real.

Membership comes through people: a member’s invite, a member’s vouch, or the team’s own review of the waitlist. No bots, no fake accounts, no faceless crowd. The goal is the most trusted place on the internet.

  2. 02

    Every moment, shared.

Build around things that happen once and are better together. Live music comes first: every show is free to watch and live only, so the people who were there share something nobody else has. Calls, games and plans follow the same rule.

  3. 03

    Every group, human-sized.

One network made of small rooms: scenes by city and genre, a watch-together room for every stream, and groups for anything people love, from punk to chess to a Thursday book club. Big enough to find your people, small enough that they know your name.

  4. 04

    Every night, together.

Online is where it starts, not where it ends. A stream should be the reason someone goes to the next show, never the reason they stay home, and a good chat should turn into a plan with a guest list.

  5. 05

    Every artist, paid.

The people who make the moments get paid for them. Every dollar a performance earns goes to the artist and the venue, and every song played is reported to the rights societies so its writer can be paid. Artists bring their fans, and their fans find each other.

  6. 06

    Built to last.

Be the first social network still worth joining in fifty years. That means growing only as fast as trust allows, protecting the door before chasing numbers, and keeping every promise above for as long as there is an eResonate.

To the people who build eResonate

You are building the place the internet never kept.

The moderator who turns away a fake account, the engineer keeping a stream up on venue wi-fi, the crew mounting a camera before soundcheck, the seller whose sponsor pays the band and the room: each of you is why two strangers who watched the same show end up friends.

The mission asks four things of us:

  • Protect the door.

Trust is the product. A fake account let in to hit a number costs more than the number is worth.

  • Build for together.

The best feature puts two people in the same moment, online or in a room. Anything that only keeps someone scrolling alone is the wrong idea.

  • Keep the promises.

Members are real people, and every dollar a performance earns goes to the artist and the venue. We earn on the network around the show, never on the show.

  • Build for Tuesday.

The test is not the demo. It is a bar manager running a show alone on a weeknight, on bad wi-fi, with a full room and no second take.

We are early enough that the way we do this becomes the way it is done everywhere. Build it like the doors open tonight and have to stay open for fifty years.

To the people who join

Come for the music. Stay for each other.

  • If you love live music

Any show on the network is free to watch, on any screen, together with your people. Find your scene by city and genre, and hear about the show down the street in time to go.

  • If you are looking for your people

Start a group for anything you love, get the crew on a call, plan the night out. No algorithm decides what you see: the people and scenes you follow, in order.

  • If you play or run a room

Your audience becomes a community. Every dollar a performance earns goes to the artist and the venue, split the way you agree before the show, and the fans who found you find each other.

Every show is open to anyone. The network around it is by invitation, so everyone inside came in through someone. Bring the people you would want beside you, at a show or anywhere else.
